Growth For Everybody!
Growth, growth, growth. Everybody wants growth in their business. You know, growth happens because you have customers. A lot of customers.
And customers come from lead generation.
A lot of companies are still wondering how to generate leads for their sales teams during these current economic times.
While some companies make the mistake of trying to close (sell and convert clients) business right now, successful companies will focus on the top of funnel activities.
We captured 1000 new users for our software in the space of 9 months doing this.
I'm always being asked "how do I capture that many leads?" and "how do I create this kind of awareness?"
It's easy to get lost in the details of tactics and tools.
Right now is not about closing business but rather capturing a new audience. You see, a lot of companies are thinking about how they can add value to their customers.
So, instead, let's make sure you understand the top 3 strategies for lead generation.
Free, paid, and partnership marketing.
Free marketing and promotion is always a great way to start. It's done in the form of video, email, blog posts, attending events, and more.
The downside is time. There is the time involved in creating the materials (video, blog posts, emails, etc.) and there's a lot of time involved in sharing the materials.
You see Flavio, there is a lot of time spent on analysing the effectiveness of the materials. And, don't forget that there is the time involved with developing and nurturing relationships along the way. But if you can genuinely create valuable content to your audience that engages, you can capture your community. Think about what type of questions your customers currently have and how you could help them answer these with free content.

Paid marketing works well and is done via search engines, social media, and banner ads on websites. It can be costly if you don't know what you're doing. But, when your message is working it is a great way to get fast returns on your ad spend.
The last one I want you to take a particular interest in.
Partnership marketing means you're working with companies in adjacent markets. It helps you build authority, gets you in front of new people, is a great way to collaborate on content that helps both companies, and adds value to each others' audience.
One of my first startups acquired 1000 users in 9 months by following a partnership strategy. Think about your customers and who they work with. Chances are they work with companies that you could partner up with to create some sort of value and get in front of your customers. It’s beneficial for your partner company, your customers and of course you.
Take a look at your current lead generation efforts. Are you spending too much time on free? Then take a look at how you can get more leads through paid. It will also free up your time to work on other things in your company - like structure, so you can scale.
The current environment has changed and many companies are looking for ways to add value to their customers. Perfect time for you to consider a partnership strategy.
